Research
Nike's graphic design often incorporates bold typography and strong colors, with a focus on creating a clean and modern aesthetic. The company uses a variety of fonts, including their own custom typeface called "Nike Gothic", which is used in many of their marketing materials and product packaging. If anyone outside of the Nike company does not have access to "Nike Gothic", using Futura will suffice since "Nike Gothic" is based on Futura.
In addition to their logo and typography, Nike often uses photographic imagery in their graphic design, showcasing athletes in action and emphasizing the company's dedication to sport and athleticism. Nike's graphic design also incorporates inspirational slogans and taglines, such as "Just Do It" and "Find Your Greatness", which have become synonymous with the brand and its mission.
Overall, Nike's graphic design is simple, bold, and inspiring, reflecting the company's commitment to innovation and athletics. The company's design elements are instantly recognizable and have helped to establish Nike as one of the most iconic and successful brands in the world.
Color Palette
These nike images would use colors sampled from the actual shoe product itself. Picante red (#f76043), coconut milk (#f6ead1), white (#ffffff), and black (#000000) were the main colors used.
Visual System
These visual products were composed of bold colors, clean layouts, elements from the product's description page, and a combination of illustrations and textures.
Aspects from the product's description were included to share the story of the Mid '77's and communicate some of the features of the specific item.
Illustrations and textures were used to enhance the overall look and feel of the images. These included close-ups taken at different angles and from scanned photography materials.
Each layout features the focal point in the center with supporting elements found through the surrounding area of the images. The bottom corners were used to give acknowledgement to the collaboration efforts between Nike and Tanner. The top center areas have the name of the product used as a title.
